Café Werrmann.
Kurfürstliches Schloss Koblenz.
Nice garden.
Kurfürstliches Schloss Koblenz.
Tour boats.
Along the Rhine.
Along the Rhine.
Along the Rhine.
We sleep reasonably in the City Hotel Kurfürst Balduin.
The beds are not very good, but good enough for an undisturbed night and no back pain.
Today we are going to see the Altstadt of Koblenz, but first we have breakfast at the hotel.
Here too, care is given that everyone carries a mouth cap, and a form must be completed upon
arrival.
The breakfast is simple, but it tastes good, there is plenty of bread spreads, juices and
desserts.
After breakfast Pia and Tom are looking for a place to drink coffee.
It becomes Café Konditorei Werrmann.
Joop and Ou come a little later.
The coffee tastes good, and you can also have breakfast there, we might do that tomorrow.
After coffee we walk into the Altstadt, both the really old part and the newer part.
There are plenty of places to eat and many shops.
We notice that there are many jewelers, who also buy gold.
On a market, mouth cap mandatory, Pia buys a bottle of very young white wine, which still
yeast in the bottle .
We walk further and come to a palace,
Kurfürstliches Schloss Koblenz, where we can enter the park but not the palace itself.
There is a passage to the back of the palace where a nice garden is overlooking the Rhine.
We walk further along the Rhine and then we arrive at a landing place for tour boats.
Deutsche Eck society leaves within 10 minutes with a 1-hour cruise, and we choose it.
It is windy on the Rhine, but we can sit outside.
The area is beautiful and there is a reasonable, only German explanation.
And of course there is something to drink.
On the way back we still sail a little about the Moselle where it is much less windy.
When we walk along the river we are surprised by the many cruise ships that are moored.
The intention is to go to
Fort Ehrenbreitstein with the cable car from the banks of the Rhine, Tom finally decides
not to go because of its fear of heights.
Pia, Joop and Ou are soon back.
They have only passed the cable car and did not see the fort.
The stomachs start to grumble a little and that's why we go to the part of the city where we
have seen many restaurants.
After looking and compare we are going to sit in
Gretchens beergarten.
We order a Benician wurst salat that fell very good.
And then a green salad with pfifferlingen (chanterelles) that is also very tasty.
The service is quick and very nice, we are happy with it.
It has since become half past four, we are going back to the hotel.
After an hour we will leave again, we still want to sneak a little.
The restaurant of yesterday, the Altes
Brauhaus, is packed and therefore we decide to look at the restaurant where we drank
something yesterday, Kaffeewirtschaft.
It starts to be fresh, we sit inside.
A vacancy certificate is asked, and the staff of the restaurant does not know what to do so,
they just leave it.
The food we order tastes good, but they are very large portions again, too bad.
At about 10 hours we are back at the hotel, packed from the food.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
